   Business of our company (Overview)
blank

Our Company was originally incorporated in the year 2004 in the name of SAB Samachar Limited. The name of the company was subsequently changed to Sri Adhikari Brothers News & Television Network Limited (SABNL) with effect from July 8, 2005. The name of our Company was further changed to Broadcast Initiatives Limited with effect from May 18, 2006.

Our Company is in the business of broadcasting and we have launched “JANMAT” channel on November 14, 2005 as news & views channel & intend to launch “Mi-Marathi” a 24-hours Marathi general entertainment channel through its subsidiary company viz. Sri Adhikari Brothers Media Limited. Being a group company of Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network Limited, Broadcast Initiatives Limited enjoys recognition and is ably supported by its network and programming experience.

JANMAT Channel –Our approach:
We intend to position “JANMAT” as a views channel in an attempt to inform the common man about his rights, duties & powers as a citizen of India through a series of well-position programs. The channel provides a platform to the common people to address issues that are detrimental to the society at large. The channel seek to explore, analyze and offer insight into thought provoking issues of common people, speak to the concerned authorities, highlight the plight of the victims and report the changes effected.

Mi Marathi (The Regional Segment)–Our approach:
The above channel is to be launched by our wholly owned subsidiary viz. Sri Adhikari Brothers Media Limited. Regional channels are playing its part in the overall fragmentation of viewer ship. A trend of regional skew ness in terms of viewer ship preferences and loyalty is being noticed. This trend is expected to increase in the future. Regional channels are increasingly taking away viewer ship from national channels in the face of increasing quality and variety of offerings
